The  playoffs continue on The Voice 2014 Season 6! The Voice playoffs go on with round 2 on The Voice 2014 Season 6! The Voice USA  Season 6 continues to feature the top singers singing their hearts out. See who will be chosen as champion in the playoffs. The Voice 2014 Season 6 judges will counsel and advise the singers throughout the The Voice Season 6 playoffs. See who was eliminated from The Voice Season 6  playoffs round 2!

The Voice - Season 6

On the last show, Blake Shelton kept soul singer Sisuaundra Lewis and country singers Audra McLaughlin and Jake Worthington to move on to the live shows.   This week, Adam Levine and Shakira will decide who will move on in the playoffs to the live shows.  Shakira still has Kristen Merlin, Dani Moz, Tess Boyer, Patrick Thomson, and Deja Hall. Team Adam includes Christina Grimmie, Delvin Choice, Kat Perkins, Jake Barker and Morgan Wallen.

 Team Shakira: Kristen Merlin: ”Two Black Cadillacs” by Carrie Underwood

Shakira advised Kristen to control her voice. Kristen sang the country song and hit all the high notes during her performance.

The Coaches Thought: Adam said she broke through and was coached well by Shakira. Blake said Kristen’s performance was flawless and her best so far. Usher said Kristen had one of the strongest, consistent voices in the competition. Shakira said she was in control of the audience and did an amazing job.
Team Shakira: Deja Hall: ”Battlefield” by Jordin Sparks
Shakira advised the young singer to be confident. The teenage singer sang the upbeat song and started shaky at first, but sounded more sure of herself at the end.
The Coaches Thought: Blake said Deja sounded more mature. Usher said she became a young adult with her performance. Adam said the sky is the limit for her moving forward. Shakira said she was confident and sounded stronger.
Team Shakira: Tess Boyer: ”Human” by Cristina Perri
Shakira advised the former cheerleader to be emotional for the performance. Tess sang the pop ballad with heartfelt emotion.
The Coaches Thought: Adam said her performance was one of the best. Usher said that Tess had a superhuman voice. Blake said that she was one of the best singers in the competition. Shakira said she was glad she stole Tess after Blake and Usher dropped her. She also said Tess was like a little miracle.
Team Shakira: Patrick Thomson: ” Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne
Shakira advised the gravel-voiced singer to make the song his own. Patrick sang the blues- folk song with fierce emotional power.
The Coaches Thought: Adam said it was his finest performance. Usher said Patrick took ownership of the song. Blake said that Adam was dumb to let Patrick go from his team. Shakira said that Patrick showed the audience what he was capable of with his performance.
Team Shakira: Dani Moz: ” Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga
Shakira advised Dani to be more vulnerable on stage. She sang the pop song while playing piano in a stripped-down performance.
The Coaches Thought: Adam said she was nervous in the beginning, then improved. Blake said she was connected with the song and the piano. Usher said she was nervous, but passionate. Shakira said Dani was a true artist and the song was emotional with her performance.
Shakira ultimately chose three of her five singers to move on to the live shows. She chose Tess first to move on from the playoffs. Shakira then chose Kristen to move on from the playoffs. The last artist to move to the live shows from Team Shakira is Dani.
Team Adam: Delvin Choice: ” Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green
Adam advised Delvin to work on his pitch while singing the song. Delvin sang the soul classic flawlessly.
The Coaches Thought: Blake said he sounded leaps and bounds above other singers. Usher said he could sing in any genre. Shakira said Delvin’s performance was delicious. Adam said he has improved even more and his team is the one to beat in the playoffs.
Team Adam: Jake Barker: ”She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5
Adam advised Jake to sound confident while singing Adam’s song. Jake sang the pop song with an understated performance.
The Coaches Thought: Blake said he had a strong falsetto and thought Jake was good. Usher said he continued to grow. Shakira said he had a vulnerable voice and solid performance. Adam said he was great.
Team Adam: Kat Perkins: ” Open Arms” by Journey
Adam told Kat to tone down her voice with the 80’s ballad. Kat sang the song with a mix of subtlety and force while hitting all the high notes.
The Coaches Thought: Usher said Kat’s performance was flawless. Shakira said her performance was emotional and effortless. Blake said Kat made the song her own. Adam said no performance was better than Kat’s.
Team Adam: Morgan Wallen : ” Stay” by Florida-Georgia Line
Adam advised Morgan to keep the rhythm throughout the song. He sang the country song with his distinctive raspy voice.
The Coaches Thought: Usher said that country music is his genre and that was his best performance. Blake said that he blended country and rock well while sounding like a country version of Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. Shakira said she was pleasantly surprised by Morgan. Adam said Morgan was excellent.
Team Adam: Christina Grimmie: ” I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz
Adam said Christina should have a consistent tone and a plan while singing. She sang the ballad with emotion.
The Coaches Thought: Blake said she had a big voice for such a small person. Usher said she was like a baby Celine Dion. Shakira she sang the song sweetly and powerfully. Adam said she unlocked the emotion of the song and was unbelievable.
Adam had to decide which three of the five singers to take to the live shows. The first artist he chose was Christina. The second artist he chose was Delvin. The last artist to move on to the live shows was Kat.
